10 Things About Me: Update

As you may or may not have seen, this time last year I wrote a post titled "Ten Things About Me". Today I've decided to do a sequel to that post (the link to it is HERE) as the previous post was published before I had left my secondary school, where as now I am over halfway through my first year at college. A lot has changed.

1. I'm really enjoying college - My lessons are all very interesting and I've made some lovely friends and everything is just better than school because you have so much more freedom; whether it's what lessons you're able to study, or where you like to eat your lunch. (p.s. my school was very restricting and at times we felt like prisoners)

2. I'd really like another cat, preferably a ginger one; this is my cat Sirius Black.

3.  I am very, no... extremely indecisive.

4. My favourite colour at the moment is pale turquoise.

5. One of my "new years resolutions" is to read more. I know this sounds ridiculous but with college consuming the majority of my life, I find myself having no time to just sit down and read a book. I WILL make more of an effort to read though!

6. I'm a big worrier/panicker. I easily get worked up about things; mainly little things that don't really matter.

7. If you were to open my bedroom door, my room is more than likely to look like a bomb has just exploded.

8. Procrastination gets the best of me.

9. I'd really like to go away for a nice weekend trip to Paris. (If that's too far/expensive then I'll settle with London)

10. I'm currently really obsessed with Splashh's debut album Comfort.

Thanks for reading, I'd be interested in hearing any facts about you too! Hope you have a lovely week.

New Year, New ... Gigs of course!

Once again it has come to the end of a year and everyone is discussing their new resolutions for the upcoming year, or reflecting back on how their year had been.

The thing that excites me most about a new year beginning is the wave of new bands, songs, albums and most importantly gigs. One of my new years resolutions for 2013 was to "go to at least 4 gigs" and I most certainly achieved this. (In fact I attended 11 gigs and 4 festivals - including 3 day festivals) And I am proud that I have finally stuck to a resolution and achieved it, even if it may be an easy one. I am very much looking forward to finding out what 2014 will bring. Obviously I already have a list of gigs I want to go to and albums I want to buy, so I better get to it!

Au Revoir 2013.

Fabulous Fall

I feel very festive today and I'm attracted to all things Autumn. I'm craving autumn/winter clothes shopping, hot chocolate, my duvet and cosy blankets, being snuggled up on the sofa watching films, carving pumpkins, going on an autumn stroll in the forest and lots of thick grandad jumpers. Oh and an open fire. Autumn is my favourite time of year, not just because it holds my birthday, but because the lead up to Christmas is super exciting and cosy, and the transformation from summer clothes to winter clothes just really excites me. (I know how sad I am, no need to tell me)

cozy, warm

Autumn"Bobbing for apples"-styled decor. Apples & candles floating in tub. Can be used as a centerpiece or on a buffet table. Can be adapted to use at an entrance. Would use waterproof battery operated tealights.

Band Review: Fenech-Soler

Fenech-Soler have been a band since 2006 from Northamptonshire. Their debut, self titled album was released in 2010 featuring tracks such as Lies, Stop And Stare and Demons. This week was the release of their second album Rituals

I have seen the band twice, at Blissfields Festival and at Victorious Festival, and they are an incredibly good live band. When I first saw the band (Blissfields) I was unaware of who they are and what music they play but when I heard them I knew I'd like them. After the festival, I was intrigued and had to hear more of their music. I was thrilled when I realised that the band were due to play at Victorious Festival as I had been listening to their debut album non-stop. I managed to get to the front of the crowd at Victorious and take some snaps of the band.

Personally, I really enjoy the band's music and I would most definitely recommend them to others. My favourite songs from Rituals are: All I Know, Last Forever and Magnetic, and my favourites from Fenech-Soler are: Golden SunStop And Stare and Demons
